Martin Pickard FBIFM
Building on a 40 year career in business, mostly within the facilities management sector, Martin is now a professional speaker, writer and trainer as well as being the Senior FM Consultant and Founding Principal of FM Guru Training & Consultancy. With 40 years experience in all aspects of property and business services provision, his career includes a variety of corporate property, project and facilities roles in the UK. He has also held boardroom positions with a number of FM consultancy and contracting organisations working all over the world for major customers from bo th public and private sectors.
Martin is a Fellow of the BIFM and twice winner of their Award for Excellence in FM Journalism. A regular contributor to several business magazines, Martin speaks at conferences and seminars internationally on facilities management, collaborative working and customer service. He was named by FM World magazine as one of the 20 FM Pioneers who have had the most impact on the development of FM over the last thirty years.
Martin has served on many industry and professional committees over the years and maintains his contribution to FM and society as a school governor, an active supporter of the BIFM and the FMA, and with the Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce. He is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers and was granted the Freedom of The City of London in 2008.
Author of a number of regular magazine columns and two times winner of the BIFM International Award for Excellence in FM Journalism, Martin welcomes commissions for articles and copywriting. Martin is also available to speak at or organise conferences, workshops & seminars.
